Capitol Document Express - Place an order
If you are ready to submit your documents, please follow these tips:
1. Get a Fed Ex Priority Overnight Envelope and put your account number on it.
2. Address it to: Karen Rubin, 537 Oakland Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32301 (850) 561.6455
3. Include a check to the Florida Secretary of State for $10 per document
($20 for all county-level documents that require an Apostille like Russia, Kazakhstan, and now China. You know your document is a "county-level document" if you had to go get it from your county clerk of court and if it has a red or green ink seal.)
4. Include a check to Karen Rubin for the courier fee (to see pricing information, click here)
5. Check to see that your notary affirmations are correct (see below).
6. Where will your documents go next? Include a label addressed to you, to your agency, or to another courier or consultant -- also with your account number on it. PLEASE DO NOT list me as the sender. List YOU as the sender.
7. DO NOT REQUIRE A SIGNATURE TO LEAVE A PACKAGE. If you insist on requiring a signature and if I am not home to sign, they will take your package far, far away and will not bring it back until the next day (and I likely will not drive the hour in bumper-to-bumper traffic across town to fetch it with gas at an astonishing $3.50 a gallon). It will be highly likely that your documents will not be processed until the following day.
I recommend FEDEX Priority Overnight as it arrives by 10:30 am which will allow me to deliver your documents the same day they arrive. I make my courier run each morning before 12 noon and pick documents up the following morning. If you are not using FedEx, please e-mail me to give me a heads up to wait for a different carrier.
It is imperative that each of your notarized documents have the correct notary affirmation on them.

If your notary affirmation differs from the link above, please contact me ASAP. The Florida Secretary of State is extremely critical and will reject your documents if they do not follow this format. Variations are accepted but your notary must indicate how they have accertained the identity of the person who has signed the document.
If you have any further questions, please contact us.
We look forward to serving you!
